Warstein, Germany — Con Forms’ commitment to innovation and global collaboration was on full display as Mike Teunissen, Manufacturing Manager, and David Terakedis, CFI’s Chief Operating Officer, visited the Esser Twin Pipes facility in Warstein, Germany.

CFI is comprised of four global brands specializing in abrasion-resistant steel applications : Con Forms, Esser Twin Pipes, Tricon Wear Solutions and Ultra Tech Pipe. CFI manufactures products at facilities in the United States, Germany and India.

The visit focused on evaluating new equipment and processes related to elbow assembly, a critical component in concrete pumping systems.
During the visit, Mike Teunissen emphasized the importance of lean manufacturing principles, stating:

“We are refining our single-piece flow to reduce waste and improve efficiency. It’s about manufacturing smarter, not just faster.”

The team explored advanced assembly techniques and automation strategies aimed at enhancing product consistency and reducing lead times.

David Terakedis reflected on the broader challenges and opportunities of global manufacturing:

“Managing operations across three continents is no small task, but we’re fortunate to have an incredible team that’s committed to safety and product excellence. While video conferencing is important, there are some things that are much more effective in person.”
