Glass fiber–reinforced plastic is one of today’s most versatile construction materials. It is used across many industries: automotive body components, aerospace, shipbuilding, kitchen appliances, computer housings, and more. As a load‑bearing material, glass fiber–reinforced plastics offer low weight and high strength, making them indispensable in demanding applications.
However, the glass content presents challenges during material conveying. With an average hardness of 58 HRC, glass fibers can cause rapid wear in unhardened piping systems. The ESSER TWIN700 series has been used successfully in this application for over 20 years, with service lives of up to eight years not uncommon.

Because electrostatic discharge can occur when conveying plastic through metal piping, all pipes are equipped with grounding lugs to safely dissipate static electricity.
To further improve performance, we tightened tolerances on standardized connections to minimize gaps and misalignment between pipes.
